Mr. Pickett specializes in defending physicians, optometrists, and dentists in the areas of medical and dental malpractice. He joined The Goldman Law Firm in June 2018. He has nearly 30 years of litigation experience, advocating for both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of civil litigation at Bay Area law firms, including class action lawsuits, employment disputes, intellectual property litigation and malpractice actions.
Mr. Pickett aims to provide cost-efficient legal advocacy, management, and resolution of difficult, high-exposure disputes. He has tried several cases to verdict. His reported cases include:

At The Goldman Law Firm, Mr. Pickett weighs the risks and benefits of legal proceedings and assessment of settlement strategies, runs efficient teams with an emphasis on streamlining processes and developing internal talent to their full potential, drafts complex motions, including dispositive motions, manages experts, and handles all aspects of cases from inception through trial or settlement.
Mr. Pickett graduated with his degree in international relations from San Francisco State University in 1984, and earned his Juris Doctor at UC Hastings in 1991. During law school, Mr. Pickett was an editor of the Hastings Law Journal. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1991. Mr. Pickett has volunteered with the San Francisco Homeless Advocacy and at Legal Aid of Marin.
Outside of the firm, Mr. Pickett enjoys sailing. He is a former Commodore of the San Rafael Yacht Club and a member of the Corinthian Yacht Club, just next door to the Goldman Law Firm, and is a licensed Coast Guard charter boat captain.
